The Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI), in cooperation with the National Commision for Culture and the Arts (NCCA)-National Committee on Libraries and Information Services (NCLIS) held its Annual Conference at Manila Floating Hotel and Restaurant (MFHR) last November 21-23 2006.
Many delegates from different institutions all over the country attended the said conference with the theme of “Mainstreaming Values of Libraries, Librarians and Information Professionals in Knowledge Societies”. EISI was one of the exhibitors. We were overwhelmed with the inquiries and good feedbacks of our valued costumers. EISI is the official distributor of Follett, Inmagic and other library products in the Philippines.

On September 7 1993, Electronic Information Solutions Inc. (EISI) was formed to serve the technology needs of Philippine libraries. It started as a distributor of CD-ROM subscriptions to libraries and information centers, then it became the leading supplier of Medline databases in the Philippines. Since then, the company has expanded its offerings in technology and content. In 1998, sensing the market is ready for library automation, EISI expanded its product lines further to include library automation software, hardware and peripherals as well as library security systems. How quickly those years have passed!
Today EISI is the leading supplier of library automation and related products to Philippine Libraries. It also provides expertise to library automation projects through trainings and consultancy.
On Saturday, September 9 2006, EISI employees took time out from their usual routine to mark EISI’s thirteen years of service to Philippine Libraries. Dona Jovita Garden Resort in Calamba, Laguna was a perfect spot to unwind and remember. Click on thumbnail below to view pictures.
