The first ever MARC21 Workshop ‘Reloaded’ held last April 12-13 hosted by Filamer Christian College (FCC) drew 21 participants from nearby institutions and a good number from UP Diliman. This two-day MARC21 workshop is the ninth held by EISI; the first eight were one-day affairs.
EISI Sales Engineer for Visayas Region, Ms. Snowy Salas proudly introduced Dr. Expedito Señeres, FCC President who welcomed the participants. He highlighted some ideas about MARC21 and encouraged the participants to enjoy the training as well as the so-called ‘Seafoods Capital’ of the Philippines, Roxas City. He also noted that being a part of this kind of national event is such a good opportunity for FCC, that’s why they wanted their internet-connected computer laboratory, which is the the venue of the said workshop, to be more presentable.
Once again it was a great privilege to have experienced cataloger and Director of Libraries of De La Salle-Dasmariñas, Mrs. Sonia M. Gementiza together with EISI Senior Software Specialist Mr. Pedro Tabinas to deliver a successful training. The Chief Librarian of FCC, Mrs. Ruth F. Magdaluyo with Ms. Naidz Abragan gave full support for the coordination and promotion of the training. What a breakthrough for EISI to conduct an extended version of its excellent learning seminar.
