Destiny logoFollett is excited to announce the latest release to Destiny, 11.0. These new enhancements empower you to make better informed decisions on real-time data and create a digital learning environment with access to Follett eBooks. Destiny brings further support for digital resources by complying with new RDA cataloging standards.

Since April 1, 2013, simultaneous with the Library of Congress’ changeover to RDA,   Follett has cataloged in the new RDA format, supplying both modified AACR2 and RDA records to customers. New features in version 11 of Follett Destiny ensure that new data from RDA-compliant sources like the Library of Congress can be accomodated by the new system.

A new feature that librarians will love is the dashboard that allows them to view up-to-date data on library circulation, overdue notices, and titles on hold – from one convenient location.  “The new dashboard is designed to help librarians and media specialists more easily communicate key usage metrics to administrators and advocate for the importance of their school libraries,” said Don Rokusek, Follett’s Destiny program director.

Follett e-books are now seamlessly integrated with Destiny, while the mobile apps have been upgraded based on initial customer enhancement requests.  Amazon’s Kindle Fire now supports Destiny Quest, allowing access to both Follett and Amazon.com resources from a single device.

And lastly, the IT personnel will be pleased to learn that the latest Destiny supports Windows Server 2012 and Internet Explorer 10.
